The UNB Saint John Seawolves are very pleased to announce that AFL All-Star, Rob Wilson, will play with the team in 2018.  Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Wilson began his AFL career at Dalhousie University after an impressive high school career, having been named NSSAF 1st-team All-Star (2011) and Citadel High School Special Teams MVP (2011).  With Dalhousie, Wilson continued to excel and accumulated various awards: Rookie of the Year for the team in 2012; MVP and Special Teams MVP of the team in 2015; and, in his final year, the Dalhousie Football Leadership Award as well as AFL All-Star at defensive back.  After graduating, Wilson continued to coach both with Dalhousie as well as Team Nova Scotia.  He was recently promoted to Assistant Branch Manager with Enterprise Rent-A-Car in New Brunswick.  With one year of eligibility remaining—young men ages 17—24 years are eligible to compete in the AFL—Wilson will finish his football playing career with the Seawolves.  Look for Wilson to make an immediate and strong impact in the Wolves’s defensive and special teams units.
